The Bay Area Natural Golfers (BANG) group got started in mid-July, 2002,
with a posting to the Natural Golf Website's chat room. The posting asked
if there were any Natural golfers in the SF Bay Area who would be
interested in sharing Natural Golf experiences and getting together for fun
and mutual encouragement. Within a matter of a week or so, 5 men were
corresponding regularly, sharing recent experiences on the course and
offering each other tips (as well as crying on each others' shoulders over
a miserable round!). The first BANG outing was scheduled for Spring Valley
Golf Course in Milpitas on August 3rd, which was where the charter members
saw each other in person for the first time! A good time was had by all 4
(Jorge, from Fremont, Luis from Fremont, Robert from Castro Valley and Mike
from San Jose) and BANG was off and running.
